También quitó a Maaca su madre de ser reina madre, porque ella había hecho una horrible imagen de Asera; Asa derribó su horrible imagen y la quemó junto al torrente Cedrón.

Pero los lugares altos no fueron quitados; sin embargo el corazón de Asa estuvo dedicado por entero al SEÑOR todos sus días.

Y trajo a la casa del SEÑOR las cosas consagradas por su padre y sus propias cosas consagradas: plata, oro y utensilios.
